The perils of hashing in Kuwait

Forget about dodging the landmines, it seems that one of the hares has trouble evading eager locals whilst setting the run for the Hash. As reported in the Arab Times...

Woman detained: Police recently detained a Canadian woman for four hours for allegedly possessing heroin and released her after apologizing for their mistake, reports Al-Anba daily. Records indicate, the woman was arrested after an unidentified Kuwaiti man informed the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry that a blonde woman jogging along the main road in Riqqa had thrown some white powder every 50 metres.

The white powder in question is flour, which is used here to set the run. If you're unfamiliar with the running club with a drinking problem, you can find more info here.

Goliath - Just caught up with your blog the other day when I found the page with all the kuwaiti bloggers on it. Lots of new blogs it seems. Back from hols I should start posting stuff again.

Zaydoun - I think you're right... I have come across it somewhere, in Europe maybe. My use of the word though is "Hello" in Maori. Very common greeting in New Zealand.

It has been a very a long time since i hashed last......How is the Drinking club with the running problem? Are they still using the Mahraja's hat for the wanker of the week? It is a turbin like hat that i contributed to the club in the mid eighties.

No Maharaja's hat these days, unless they're still using it for Thursday's hash which I've only attended the once. On Saturday the WOW is an Egptian pyjama dishdasha thing which gets adorned with something new each week... badge, pin, ribbon, dead fish... I must admit I've only been a few times as other (family,... not the dreaded W word) committments keep me busy.
